How long did it take you to reach that #2 ranking in such a competitive market?
I’m tempted by his sales page, but I work a full time job and do this online stuff part time and still try to find some time for my family. It sounds like I’d need an army of people to help just with the posting on web2.0 properties to make this work and I don’t have the money to hire a bunch of people much less train them.
I’m willing to work (I do already with a full time job and my work online) as I make a decent second income online, but to quite my job I’d need to make a heck of a lot more then what I make online now.
Any input would be nice.

It took about 6 months to get that position and it does require regular work to maintain it. Not massive amounts of work but you need to be adding new content regularly.
Web 2.0 is a tool for creating an online presence but to be honest it’s not a magic bullet (from my own experience of it) and if you look at most of the sites ranking in the top spots in Google for competitive terms not many of them are blogs, squidoo lenses or any other 2.0 web property.
If you have an existing website and want to implement web 2.0 here’s what you do:
1. Create a free Wordpress blog at Wordpress.com.
2. Create one or two squidoo lenses at Squidoo.com
4. Create a free blogger.com blog
4. Create a blog on your own domain for whatever site you’re working on.
Write an article on your site topic, point the links from the article at your Wordpress.com blog and submit it to Ezinearticles and GoArticles.
Do the same for your Squidoo lenses.
Do the same for your own blog on your site.
Do the same for your blogger.com blog.
Use a site like http://www.socialmarker.com to promote your blogs and squidoo lenses.
You can also add other web 2.0 sites like Ziki, HubPages etc later on and follow the same process with them.
There are NO quick fixes. Anytime I’ve ever tried one I’ve had a site banned and my income has suffered.
Write quality content, get quality links. Rinse and repeat.
