My Favourite Home Office Tools
Running a home office takes more gadgets and tools than most people realize. After thinking about this I decided on sharing some of my favourite tools and gadgets with you. They’ve come in handy for me and hopefully they’ll come in useful to you too.
Mozy Online Backup
The first tool is my most recent find and it’s an online file backup utility called Mozy. I love this utility so much! It allows me to keep a backup of all my critical work files online and it does this automatically and without interfering with my work each day. It’s comforting to know that my files are safely stored online no matter what might happen to my own computer. Download Mozy and try it – I’m sure you’ll love it.
AI Roboform
Are you sick and tired of fiddling around looking for pieces of paper or old emails with your passwords stored on or in them? There’s nothing worse than trying to login to a website or web based service urgently and simply not being able to find your password. A few years back I started using a great little program called Roboform and it removed all my password headaches in one stroke. You can download Roboform here.
External Hard Drive
No matter what kinda business you’re running or plan on running then an external hard drive is a must in terms of data security and extra storage space for files. There’s lots of brand and types of external hard drives out there but the key to being happy with an external hard drive is size – buy the biggest external drive you can afford; you’ll be amazed at how quickly you can fill a 100GB external drive. Check out the range of external drives on CompUSA.
